Retiring Proofreading for Confluence

After careful consideration, we have decided to retire Proofreading for Confluence. This article provides details and guidance regarding this change for affected users.

Why is the app being retired?

Our team is committed to delivering the best solutions for Atlassian software. Retiring this app allows us to focus our resources on more feature-driven development for the apps central to our product strategy— Scroll Apps for Confluence and Backbone Issue Sync for Jira.

Proofreading for Confluence has provided users with additional functionality for Confluence Cloud at no extra cost. However, Atlassian's deprecation of UIKit 1 requires us to rebuild significant parts of the app from scratch. Given the low user numbers, we have decided against this and will instead retire the app.

What does this mean for existing users?

No new updates

After February 28, 2025, apps using Atlassian’s UIKit 1 will no longer function. As a result, Proofreading for Confluence will also stop working. After this date, the app listing will be archived and will no longer be accessible on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Support

Although Proofreading for Confluence was officially unsupported on the Atlassian Marketplace, we have previously assisted users who experienced issues or had questions. However, after February 28, 2025, the K15t support team will no longer provide support.
